Friday, November 09, 2007 yo lets review some things , ok 1) Deepavali is the Festival of Lights. It symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Light over Darkness. Optimus Prime over Megatron. It DOES NOT, i repeat DOES NOT, represent the New Year. i wonder how many people kept saying it was the new year. the new year for us is in april.. this is more of a harvest festival thingy i guess? [There is a slight possiblity that it symbolizes the day, the Aryans conquered their enemies. the aryans were fair , and may have been interpreted as light.. i dont know, what am i a historian?] 2) its is not bloody polite to skip deepavali decorations, and start putting up christmas decorations, silver tinsel, with big words saying ' JOY TO THE WORLD' at this time of the year, fully skipping deepavali. what is the matter with you SG? u 'overlooked' it somehow? idiots. one day after deepavali, u take it down, and start prepping for xmas, i understand [what cna i say, its not really that important to u.] but skippin deepavali, and puttin xmas decos, one day BEFORE deepavali itself is just a freaking insult. i know christmas is important. in japan for example, christmas eve is the second most romantic night o spend with your loved one [first being of course, Valentine's day], but still.. hi? get your act together, remember we make up a certain percentage of the population. unless we need to be THIS big, b4 you'll consider asshats. i actually met someone i never knew id meet again, and yet alot of memories came. ah to have a second chance. but then i may screw it up again. coz thats my life. |
